At Makena School, our Early Years Education is a carefully designed three-stage journey that nurtures your child from their very first day at school until they are fully prepared for the challenges of Junior School. A gentle and joyful introduction to school, where we focus on building confidence and positive social skills through curiosity, song, and play.
We build on Playgroup with more structured activities and hands-on projects that lay the groundwork for foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.
This year focuses on preparing learners for Grade 1 by fostering independence and applying their skills in more complex, multi-step projects.
We believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals from the very beginning. Our Kindergarten co-curricular activities are designed to build confidence, develop new skills, and let children explore their interests in a fun and supportive setting.
