Makena School was established in 1996 by the late Mrs. L.A. Obonyo, a passionate early childhood educator and administrator. Founded with a vision to provide quality, values-based education, the school began as a modest Kindergarten in Juja and has since grown into a respected institution offering both Kindergarten and Primary Education under Kenya’s national curriculum.

For close to three decades, Makena School has remained committed to nurturing young minds through a balance of academic excellence, moral guidance, and co-curricular development. Today, our two distinct campuses continue to serve families in Juja and its surroundings, upholding our founder’s legacy of compassion, discipline, and holistic learning.
